Q: I purchased an iPad - which I thought was 5th generation- on February 26, 2013. Is there such a thing as a 5th generation iPad?

Please help. I tried looking up the serial number online and it does not show up because it has been replaced. The one I have now shows that it is a 4th gen. There is a part number (MD511LL/A) which can be an acronym for: Model 5. Please help.

Thanks guys. When I was getting the replacement I asked the lady at the Genius Bar if it was being replaced "with another 5th gen iPad" and she said "yeah." Because I thaught that it was what I originally purchased. Hey, I am not a genius. : ). In her defense she seemed sincere; it might just be that she was under pressure due to the current season rush. hehe. Good luck and happy holidays.
