Question

Will a new back up of my Iphone add to my old back up or replace it (deleting the current photos etc on my itunes now)

I backed up my Iphone 5 this summer and then restored it(so no pictures or contacts etc) and now I need to back it up again but am worried that all of my new pictures will be erased. If I do back it up now will everything I have backed up from before the summer be lost? or will it just add on.

I want to ultimately have both the sets of pictures on my phone

Please please help me! I am completely clueless

I am overzealous with my camera and don't want to lose all of my pictures of trips, expecially fab meals and friends.

You should be extracting the photos from the phone the same way you would from any other digital camera. Only the last backup is kept. Previous backups are overwritten each time you back up. Backups are for disaster recovery, NOT permanent data storage.

just import the pics to pc

plug device into pc

start on pc-computer-right click on apple device-import pics

Clyde is correct, I have done this a few times, just import them onto your pc or mac or you could email them to yourself or use the icloud or other cloud service to import/export pics 🙂
