Q: Got a welcome email and it said apps such as numbers and iPhoto are free for my device but when I go to the App Store they are not free

Why are the apps not free as indicated?

1. Make sure your iPad is activate/registered

2. Sign out, restart iPad and sign in again

3. Download free apps

Register and set up your device, then go to the App store and select the apps, you will not be charged.

My device is registered, hence the welcome email. I signed out, restarted my iPad air then signed back in, still shows $4.99 for iPhoto and $9.99 for numbers.
