i bought an itouch and i don't have the passcde to open it how do i reset it ? don't want to open new itunes account

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

It the iPod is a 5G with iOS it will then ask yo to enter the password for Apple ID of the previous owner. you will have to get the previous owner to supply that password in order to use the iPod
