Sync from Mac to iPad purchased iBook transfer stops at about 70%

I just purchased a book from the iTunes store. Tried to sync it to my iPad but the transfer of the iBook stopped at about 70%. Reset everything and deleted the ibook than re-downlaoded it - same problem. Could the bug be in the book?

iPad 2, iOS 7.0.3, Mac 10.8.5
