The itunes installer shows itunes being 0.00kbs so it won't install. I uninstalled my previous itunes in hope to fix a previous itunes problem (can't play or see shared music). Now Itunes 6.05 won't even install and I have no itunes. Can anyone help me on this please or point me to an older install file? Thanks.
when you run the installer do you get "Install" or "Upgrade" as your option, upgrade means the installer is detecting a iTunes installation reciept somewhere on the machine.
finally fixed, i had to go to the mac hd in the finder then go to the receipts that way instead of my username. crazy. that's a lot of files in there, what would happen if i deleted them to relieve space?
I seem to be having a similar problem. I clicked to update to Itunes 6.0.5, it seemed to work but now whenever I open Itunes and plug my ipod mini in I get a message saying 'software required for communicating with the ipod is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes to install the ipod's software'.
I have done this...twice and iTunes reinstalls and my library is fine but I just keep getting that message and it is not recognising my ipod!
Can anyone help? I wish I hadn't bothered to update - it was fine before!
Thanks

I was already to have it sent back to apple thinking it was defective or something. lol. well anyways thanks for the tip its working again finally
