New set-up not responding

Received my new Ipad2 couple of days ago but will not set-up correctly. Box says 'Use Wifi to restore - a wifi connection is required. I am in a Wifi zone but the box will not go away/can't power off etc please help.

Reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.
