Hello everyone,
I have a macbook 4.1 with Lion OS. The battery needs to be changed, but my main concern is that the fans run full speed even if there's no program running. Nothing's changed after inizialization and re-installation of OSX.
Any suggestions?

I would be concerned too if the fans on my MacBook were running full speed. Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) addresses this specific issue:
These symptoms may indicate that an SMC reset may be necessary:
Fans
The computer's fans run at high speed although the computer is not experiencing heavy usage and is properly ventilated.
Reset the SMC on your MacBook using these steps:

- Shut down the computer.
- Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
- Remove the battery.
- Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.

- Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
- Press the power button to turn on the computer.

I tried to reset the SMC but then my macbook wouldn't turn on.
I managed to turn it on by removing the battery and disconnetting it from magsafe; then I pushed the power button for 10seconds, I connected the macbook to magsafe while still pushing the power button (for another 10seconds), I inserted the battery and finally I pressed the button on the battery...and it worked!
But now when I turn on my macbook the fans run full speed. 😕 😟
What should I do?

I experience exactly the same problem with my MacBook Pro. Can you tell us the nature of the problem; was it hardware or software problem?
