track pad has a bubble under it

I recently took my MacBook Air with me on a trip, it was in a case the whole time taken care of. I got in my car this morning and took it to work with me got it all plugged in and ready to use, then left for a few hours to do some other stuff, when I got back there is a huge bubble underneath the track pad and my left click wont work. What is going on?

DO NOT use it Your lithium cell is likely swollen and impinging on the trackpad

Contact Apple for in shop diagnostic and likely repair 😊

Did you leave in a hot car or something? Or have been doing so, or in a very cold car?

Again, though you may want to,... do NOT use your Air, turn it on, etc.

That leaves possible condensation related causation, however unlikely. Rather a very rare defect in the pack cells (or one thereof) of your Lithium battery.

If, as you indicate a "huge bubble" under the trackpad, put it in your case etc, and contact Apple for appt. for service.

Do NOT use it, as many users are tempted to, or the "why not?" premise.

There is a hazard in your attempt in using it in its current state, ...as such, heed that advice.

Peace 😊
