how do i disconnect my ipod from my laptop

iPods are only allowed to sync with a few computers at a time. I got a new laptop but my ipod wont sync with it because it already has been synced to a few others (all of which i don't own anymore). I still have the my most recent laptop but how do i unsync it in order for my ipod to sync with my new laptop?
