Why can't I use Duplicate Annihilator: Aperture Edition

When I try I get this:

Incredible since I downloaded it from Apple!

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9)

It said that I could not load a program, Duplicat Annihilator for Aperture, that I had just downloaded from the Apple web site because it was from an unknown developer!

That warning is for security reasons. In the System Preferences > Security & Privacy you can allow your Mac to execute programs that are not signed by known developers. But I'd change this setting only temporarily.
