Dec 5, 2013 11:23 AM in response to Fazal aleemby varjak paw,If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten and your device is running iOS 6 or earlier, restore the device from the computer to which the device is synced. For information and instructions, see:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If that will not work, you'll need to put the device into Recovery Mode and then try the Restore again:
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If that still doesn't work, as a last resort try DFU mode:
http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034
If your device is running iOS 7 and you set up Find My iPhone (iPad/iPod), however, then it has the Activation Lock on it and you'll have to erase the device through iCloud first:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818
Regards.
Forum Tip: Since you're new here, you've probably not discovered the Search feature available on every Communities page, but next time, it might save you time (and everyone else from having to answer the same question multiple times) if you search a couple of ways for a topic, both in the relevant forums and in the Apple Knowledge Base, before you post a question.

Jan 6, 2014 7:22 AM in response to 12289by varjak paw,I'd suggest you start a new topic with your issue (use the "Start a discussion" link under the Actions header at the upper-right of each main topic page). It's generally better to ask a question as a new topic rather than as a reply in someone else's thread. It's more courteous to the original poster, and is more likely to get your question the attention it deserves.
Regards.
