"setup.mpkg" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer

Can I get around the block to installing a program when:

' "setup.mpkg" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer ' is displayed?

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

That's caused by Gatekeeper > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5290?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US You have two options to run the installer:


1. Right-click the installer and choose Open, or;


2. Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General, press the padlock at the bottom left corner and select "Anywhere" under "Allow applications downloaded from". This will apply to all applications
