Can anyone tell me about Remote Desktop Client Update 3.7.1 neccessary to install in my MacBook pro Please

Apple Remote Desktop is part of your OS and just as other system updates you should install it as it fixes some issues as listed here:

Apple Remote Desktop is not a virus, malware or anything else that might be seen as 'nastyware'. As with any update you should follow Apple's advice prior to running the update and make sure you have a full and complete backup of any data you can't do without.
