How do I add Widgets to my iMac (2013, Mavericks)?

Sorry if this has been already asked - I'm new using the blog. Can you tell me how to add iMac widgets on the Mavericks widget page running on a 2013 iMac? Thanks!

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3), 32 GB - Fusion Drive

To add widgets, first open Dashboard (you can do it from Launchpad or with a trackpad gesture), press the + button at the bottom left corner of the screen and add the one you want.

You can also look for more widgets > http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/ As most of them are outdated, Gatekeeper may prevent you from running them, so once you have downloaded them, right-click the widget and select Open
