Q: I have just bought a Macbook Pro with a SuperDrive but no matter whether I try a DVD or a CD, nothing happens and it merely ejects the media. Are there any specials setup instructions?

I have just purchased a MacBook Pro with Retina Display and a SuperDrive. Unfortunately my SuperDrive will not accept any media (DVD or CD) and merely ejects them almost immediately. Are there any special setup instructions required?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

HI,
I have the same problem. Did you get a solution for this problem? I bought my SuperDrive also in December but just tried to install it yesterday. Same trouble ...

You should also ask this in the MacBook Pro forum. This is the forum for the 13” white and black plastic MacBooks that were discontinued in 2010. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer.
