library won't open

I saved old files to a second Aperture library. Now, neither the original library nor the additional one will open. I click on Open Library in the drop down tab, the name of the library comes up, I click on it, and I get a black screen. Help?

Thank you.

I saved old files to a second Aperture library.

How exactly did you "save", Carol? And where did the "old files" come from?

Do you mean, you exported older projects as a new Aperture Liray with "File > Export > Projects as new Library"?

Where are your libraries located? On an external drive or your system drive? Are your libraries managed or referenced?

And what is your Aperture version?

Sorry for all the questions, but I am trying to understand your problem.
