Moving around the canvas in Preview

Without a trackpad, is there an easy way to navigate around a large zoomed in document while in Preview? (using scroll bars is not easy)

In most Adobe apps, if I hold down the spacebar, I get a hand tool that allows me to pan around an image. But I don't know of any keyboard shortcut or tool inside of Preview. (There used to be a hand tool in Snow Leopard's Preview, if I remember correctly)
