Logic Pro X movie not showing up

When I try to open a movie in Logic Pro X, the movie doesn't show up in movie inspector, and movie window doesn't come up at all.

The movie audio is imported successfully though.

Any ideas?

Also, is there a shortcut key to enable the movie inspector or movie window?

Thanks!

Logic Pro X, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

This bug has been around for precisely 4 years by today, and Apple hasn't bothered to find a cure. 😠

Meanwhile, however, the symptoms have changed a little. Nowadays the Movie Window does open. It suddently either freezes or goes dark altogether if you doubleclick the Movie track while the Inspector's Movie tab is closed/collapsed.

The workaround:

(a) never ever doubleclick the Movie track in the Arrange window;

(b) if you inadvertently did (a) then

- close the Movie window,

- expand the Inspector's collapsed Movie/Preview tab (i.e. then click the little white triangle on the Movie tab)

- doubleclick the expanded Inspector Movie/Preview window.
