Help How do I sync iphone 5s calendar

You need to decide where to put the Master Calendar. That place has to be reachable from the other device, which basically means reachable from the Internet.

Many people decide that rather than allow their home computer to be reachable from the Internet, they will just put the Master Calendar on iCloud.

I use a USB cord to sync my new 5s to my macbook.

The contacts are syncing but, not the calendar.
