Can i disable respond with text?

I Declied some call by mistake and sent a messege while getting my iphone from my pocket, so i was wondering if there is a way to disable the auto messege i accedently sent??

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4

The thing about a passcode is that, like a back up, you don't generally know in advance when you might need it. Hopefully you don't think backing up is equally pointless and time consuming.

In iOS9 it is

Settings > Touch ID & Passcode > Allow Access When Locked: Reply with Message


And if you don't have a passcode set, you can't change any of the settings! You must set a passcode, change the setting, and then "Turn Passcode Off" - which apparently deletes it again.


I know, it is unfashionable to run a phone with no passcode; don't bother lecturing me. But why not keep the code when it is turned off? On the rare occasions when I might be vulnerable, I might tap a switch to turn it on... But not if I have to go enter a new one...
