Q: Warning ITMS-6020 Depreciated audience scheme

I wondered if anyone could help with this I uploaded abook to the ibookstore and got the green tick but I had this warning

WARNING ITMS-6020: "Depreciated audience scheme: apple" at Book/BookMetadata/BookAudienceInfo/BookAudience (MZltmsBookAudiencePackage)

I added Apple - General as the target audience which I have done on numerous occasions before.

I have never come across this before and I have a couple of questions

1. Will this stop the book being published or is it just a warning that will not interfere with publication?

2. If the selection for Apple still there if it is now seemingly wrong?

Thanks in advance

If you got the green tick, your book is now in for Review.

Check your iTunes Connect > Manage your Books page. It should be there with an orange dot and  "In Review"

I think you will at some point, get a ticket notified in iTunes Connect. Stating the  issue.

I suspect you do not have any widgets... image galleries, video files, photo galleries or other widgets.

Apple expect us to produes book using the gizmo's to .. "enhance the user experience".

A simple photo gallery with just 2 or 3 images and or a 30 second video introduction or used on a page.. will get you by this problem.

Hi. Did you ever find out what was causing this error code? We have just uploaded our first ibook and got the same message.

    Regards, Fran

Did you get the green tick / check mark ?

If you did the  book is now unloaded and waiting to be reviewed.

IF there are any  problems the review team will issue a "Ticket"  which tells you what needs to be corrected.

After 24 hours, open your iTunes Connect  - on the right  you see Ticket History - if it also shows a red circle with a number, it means you have a problem to correct, clcik and  open the Ticket section, click teh ticket number and it will open a page which shows the error(s) needing action.

It can take 24 hours or more to show this  so be patient. Meanwhile you can  keep checking the section " Manage your Books"   Under the books cover image you  will see a orange dot with In Review  or Not on 51 STores and a red dot.
