restoring a macbbok G4 to factory

Hi Guys,

I am new to the community here, just signed up. I hope I could get a few questions answered! I apprecaite anyone who takes the time in reading and responding, thank you in advance.

My question is as follows:

I recently whipped out my old powerbook G4. I'm looking to give it someone who's macbook pro died, R.I.P.

My question is, how do I reset the G4 to original factory settings, wiping out everthing on the hard drive as if it came right from Apple, out of the box. I cannot find my install CD. All I have is leopard and it will not install on the G4 because it is not an intel based notebook.

My specs are as follows:

POWERBOOK G4 15"

PowerPC G4 (1.1)

Processor 1.5 GHZ

# of CPU's 1

L2 Cache 512 KB

MEMORY 2 GB

Bus Speed 167 Mhz

Boot Rom Version 4.8.4f1

Please let me know if this can be done w/out the system CD.

Thanks so much everyone!

PowerBook, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
