Iphone 5c won't update apps giving cocoa error 4097. Any solution please

I'm guessing you are seeing this error on a (old) Mac.
You should update your Mac's iTunes to current (11.1.3). It is possible that your Mac is so old this update is not possible. In that case, you may not be able to use your iPhone with your Mac.

Many thanks for your help. The error happens on the phone itself while updating front App Store.
Cocoa is a translator-like item that has been obsolete for years.
So something very old is involved. Perhaps the app(s) you're downloading are very old, or you have something very old involved in the sync process to your new iPhone.
Hi all.
Update on progress. Exchanged phone on the advice of Genius Bar. Restored from backup and error came back. Spoke to apple tech via web chat. Advised to delete apps. Solved error but battery lasted 3-4 hours and phone became warm. Also used data allowance when on standby.
Today put phone into DFU mode and setup as new phone. Much to my relief all seems great. Battery seems back to normality.
Worked for me so hopefully will help someone else
