My iPod Touch has been dead for a few days and now it won't turn on? Help?

So I was at my party last week and I left my charger at the venue, I only got it back today, plugged it in, and now my iPod won't turn on? I have tried holding down the home & power button but nothing has happened..

I have been told to:

  • Leave it charging overnight and then try the home & power
  • Leave it charging for hours on end and hope for the best

or to just go out and buy a new one, which I really don't want to do although I have an iPhone ordered and being delivered.

I hope you guys can help, I really really need my iPod to work because it has everything on it... haha...

Thank you!

Dan

Once you have a proven, working Charger... Charge the Device for a couple of hours. Then try to turn it on.

If no joy...

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...

Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)

Release the Buttons...

If the issue persists...

Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...

Be sure to make an appointment first...
