Dec 7, 2013 11:00 PM in response to georgefromgalleby mende1,There are some Macs that require a separate cable to get audio from the TV. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4241?viewlocale=en_US In this case, you need a Late 2010 or newer MacBook Air

Dec 26, 2013 12:39 PM in response to georgefromgalleby J.Rhodes,I've got the same issue: when I connect my Macbook Air (2011) to TV via HDMI cable there's no sound through the TV system, only from the Macbook Air. I used to use my older Macbook Pro with the same HDMI adapter and it worked just fine, but not with the Macbook Air it doesn't.
My software is up to date. I tried to select the TV as an output option in sound preferences, but it doesn't yield any results.
Rebooding multiple times doesn't help either.
Any suggestions on how to tackle this problem?
Thanks in advance.
