iMovie 10.0.1 does not migrate clips from 9.09 properly

Hi,

I have switched to OS X Mavericks and with that I updated iMovie to version 10. So, after migrating to the new version only a few clips and projects were migrated. I tried to use the function "update projects" in the menue bar, but with no impact. I can import the clips again but then they are in the updated project folder in iMovie 10. Using the menue bar function update projects do not make them being listed. As I have so many clips I did not want to import them all again and have them just under one item, I decided to delet iMovie 10. After that I installed iMovie 10 again, with no other result This is so frutstrating, I wonder how Apple could deliver such a procedure.

Does anyone have an idea how to migrate to iMovie 10 without losing clips and projects?
