iMovie + iPhoto update (OS X version 10.9)
My MacBook (OS X version 10.9) will not update iMovie and iPhoto without payment. My friend's computer updated itself without payment?

What version(s) of these apps do you currently have? Ifyou already have iPhoto 11 then the upgrade is free. On the other hand, if you have an earlier version you need to purchase.
