Can't print

I have not been able to print consistently for a couple of months, thinking it was my internet, but our AirPrint continues to not work- error says Printer offline. I spent an hour on phone with Canon support for Mac users, they ran all tests and determined it some apple issue for iPad, iPhone users ; researched online and saw lots of AirPrint problems after last IOS update. Please help us print!
