Can Mavericks work on a Late 2006 iMac?

I just looked up my exact iMac model via the Tech Specs page here at apple by putting my serial number in the tech specs search box. It is apparently a Late-2006 iMac (17-inch). Can Mavericks work on this, or do I need a new computer?

Thanks.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), 1gb memory
