i am trying to order 2 different books on iphoto but only seem to be able to order them one by one. is there a way to regroup those orders ?
You can not - you can only order multiple copies of one book on one order

It did three years ago 12/8/2013 when this thread was answered - today it means that you can not order any print products from iPhoto since they were all discontinued last March

Yes, you can only combine multiple copies of the same product into one order. But that is irrelevant now, since it is no longer possible to order books created in iPhoto at all from Apple. The print products support for iPhoto and Aperture stopped at the end of March 2016.
