cannot pair ue boom box with macbook pro

THANK YOU!!! After all the reading and messing with my MacBook Air it was as simple as you instructed.

Oh god thank you SO much! I was thinking "it can't be that simple", but it was! My son had his birthday coming up and I needed to use Spotify, but my laptop was the only device that kinda let me use it like it was a premium subscription, so now I can play any song my son wants thank stop you.

Once again, it's only a little thing you did, but it's really helped me.

I know this question was asked a while ago, but the MacBook Pro has changed since then.

For those who have the new MacBook Pro with the touchbar and all (like me), hold the bluetooth connection button (located above the power button - is quite small) a little bit longer, rather than just pressing it and instantly letting go.

Hi - I had this problem too. I kept getting a "this device does not have the necessary services" error in Bluetooth. Did some googling and tried selecting 'Set up Bluetooth device'. I selected 'UE Boom' from the list of devices, went through the prompts and it works now. You might have to hold down the Bluetooth button on the UE Boom for a few seconds in order for it to show up. I hope this works for ya.

I found that just pressing the bluetooth button on the UE Boom device (which I didn't even know was a button, just thought it was a light!) triggered my Mac to pick it up and it all worked fine after that!

I found I had to hold the bluetooth button on the boom box down for much longer than the instructions say - like 20/30 seconds - and then my mac detected its presence and all worked fine.
