Is Itunes and Itunes Store the same thing?

Itunes / Itunes Store ...

Are these two names the same program? On my new Ipad Air, I cant find "Itunes" but there is an "Itunes Store"

iTunes Store is not software on your device, it's an online store to buy music,films, books etc.

The music tab sends you to the equivalent of iTunes which is a media player on your device.

iTunes Store is an app on your iPad which is used to access and use the iTunes Store, which is the repository of the music and fils you might want to download.
