Q: All of a sudden the mouse won't move. Changed batteries in keyboard and mouse. Thing turns on but mouse won't move. Trying to not have to buy another mouse if something can be done. Judi k.

Can anyone help? I called Apple care but they were stumped and said to try buying a new mouse. I turned on PC as usual, waited for it to load  which it did, but the mouse will not move. Tried changing batteries in keyboard, wireless as well as the mouse but it still won't move out of the corner.

Thanks. Judi

    Hello Judi,

Not a very encouraging reply from Apple care.  If that's all they said I would report it.

However ... Is it an Apple mouse you are using?  Was it previously paired with your machin?  Bluetooth is on?  You have turned the mouse on?  The green light is on; if not the batteries may not be correctly inserted ... check and reposition them.

If none of these basic checks help, then turn to this formal Apple guide ...
