Q: I have an ipod touch dated back from 09 or 2010. My itunes says that the current update it 1.1 4 i beilive. But what i can not figure out is, when i go to the apt store it says i can upgrade and downlooad to an 4.5 IOS and it lets me but iturns doesnt.

How do i update my ipod touch

Make sure you have the Latest Version of iTunes (v11) Installed on your computer

iTunes free download from www.itunes.com/download

Then...

Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...

If an Update Appears Install it... if not... you are up to date for your particular Device...

You have the original (1G) iPod touch.
A 1G iPod can go to i iOS 3.1.3 (a paid update) via
