My latest magic mouse is eating batteries, literally coming down each morning and having to replace them. I've replaced at least 8 sets since I got the new iMac and mouse in 2 weeks. Anyone know why?

Take it back for exchange. There are many reports of such problems but to be fair, we only read of the problems, not of those that are doing what they are meant to do.
The mouse is classified as hardware; it carries a 12 month guarantee.
This is a replacement iMac and mouse after mine was stolen, but I can report no such problem with the first magicmouse. There, a positive report on a Magicmouse that was doing what it was supposed to. Thanks for your direct approach to the problem - much appreciated.
