audio port

i just recently bought a macbook pro 13 inch, i am trying to record from my dj mixer to my mac when i plug the rca to aux cable into my mac my mac doesnt pick it up as an input mic only as headphones/speakers and doesnt give me the option " use audio for " what do i do?

The new 13" MBPs do not allow audio input via the audio output port. You will have to use a USB device for audio input.

ahh ok thanks heaps do you know if there is a rca cable ( red and white ) to usb?

There is but I think you will need some software in addition to that to make it work.
