Does anybody know of any good quality 3rd party leather versions of the smart cover for the iPad air?
I am really disappointed that apple only have the plastic smart covers for the air, especially as the colours are nowhere near as nice as the leather smart cases and they feel a lot cheaper and lack the overal quality feel you would expect from apple.

Thanks but that's the smart case, I'm well aware that's leather as I said in my post. I don't want a full smart case, I'm talking about the Smart Cover, they only do that in plastic and personally I don't like the colours as much
I can't seem to find any leather covers. All leather ones seem to be full cases.
You may be able to get this one for an iPAd 2 to work, but no guarantees.
Closest I've found so far is this. They look great, though not sure of the quality. They would probably go well with DODOcase's Bookback which I've had on all my iPads. Only problem is they don't fold to make a stand.
Also the plastic Smart Cover fails after about 6 months. Another fail in the long line of overpriced apple accessories. I'm also looking for an AIR Smart Cover but will never buy another one from Apple again.
Devicewear makes an awesome smart cover alternative. My wife and I each have one and love them.
