replace -copy an edited photo from PC to camera roll

Hello

I know that CAMERA ROLL are the photos you take with the iphone camera therefore they are stored onto camera roll, not photoalbums

HOWEVER, if i connect iphone to PC (windows) and edit a picture and I want to copy that file to DCIM folder and replace it with same name

exmaple '' IMG_1665.jpg '', it wont do anything, paste option is not enabled, photoshop wont save it directly from program, etc

how can I make this possible? seems to be locked, and that has nothing to do with iphone passcode or write only properties on pc

because still it wont let you replace the picture directly.

Can someone provide any solution? What I truly want is to replace the original picture saved on camera roll with same name

so the edited photo would be stored onto camera roll as if it was the original
