I am using Aperture with my MBP and MAC mini.
I want to flag pictures, and aperture say that the keyboard shortcut is "Shift + 7". That is /
This is not working. Can anybody tell me what is wrong with this shortcut?

Who is 'aperture' and where do they 'say' that?
The keyboard shortcut for flagging/unflagging an image is the / key.
Shift-7 isn't assigned to anything.
Are you using a foreign keyboard? Maybe there's a difference.
You probably didn't mean to sound curt, but it seems a unkind response. Seems almost certain that it's a non-English localization (and that the OP is not a native English speaker).
What is your localization (language setting for the OS)?
Go to "Aperture➞Commands➞Customize". Search for commands by typing in the search box, or clicking on a key in the representation of a keyboard.
What do find for "Flag" and the / key?
On my keyboard (German) the shortcut for "Flag" is the umlaut "Ü". You can check the currrent shortcut also in the "Metadata" pulldown menu, in addition to the "Commands" Kirby pointed out.

You can change the key by selecting the current key in the command list and typing in a new key. If there is a conflict with another binding for the key, you will receive a warning.
By hitting any key on the displayed keyboard, you will see what this key is bound to.
It is really hard, to find keys that are not already taken by other commands.
You cannot - or should not - modify the original command set. Duplicate the command set, to create your own set of commands.
