Headphone jack not working!?

So I am on Windows 8.1 (final version) and I unplug my headphones for some reason I forget. They're Sony MDR - ZX100 (if that helps). And I plug them back in, and nothing. I booted into OS X and then there is thisred light there which after research is apparently the signal for when the jack is in. I've tried everything from the toothpick to dry air, and still nothing. The jack is totally unresponsive. The built in speakers work fine. Also, no warranty left, so I'm not sure what I should do. Thanks to anyone that helps.🙂

Note : It's the Core 2 Duo model from '09, 21.5 inch
