If this has been asked before, I'm sorry. I'm new to Apple and I'm having trouble!! I'm trying to make a calendar and I have 4 months left to go. Everytime I drag and click my photo to the spot it bounces back. What am I doing wrong???

My operating system is 10.8.5. I am using the 12 month photo calendar. I've been able to add several photos, but suddenly I'm doing something wrong and when I highlight them and drag them to the spot they bounce back. I'm sorry. I don't know what version of iPhoto I have. My computer isn't a month old yet, if that helps.
Teh version of iPhoto is shown under the iPhoto menu ==> about iPhoto
and 12 months is not a theme - when you create a calendar you choose a theme - like travel for example - which did you choose?

Sorry! I'm not too bright... It says iPhoto '11 version 9.4.3 and my theme is PIcture Calendar.

By spot what do you mean? The picture part of the month or a date box?
