i can't connect my new iphone 5 to my car bluetooth. (lexus gx 460) not sure if it's the iphone or the car bluetooth that is the problem. but, the iphone seems to be in a stuck, in Bluetooth device 'searching' now discoverable.

What you are seeing on the iPhone screen is what identifies that you have the iPhone in discovery/pairing mode. Have you ever had an iPhone paired with that vehicle before? If yes, then remove that phone from the vehicle list. If no, then first turn off Bluetooth on the phone. Then check the vehicle owner's manual to find out how to put the vehicle into discovery/pairing mode. Once that is done, then turn on the Bluetooth on the phone, and the two should pair.
