I have already deleted the songs off my itunes, but because they were bought on my ipod they are still there with the icloud symbol beside them. I want to completly delete these songs from my ipod, but when i swipe to delete nothing happens. How can I permanently delete these songs?

If you see these songs with the iCloud icon, they were deleted. However, as you purchased them from the iTunes Store, you can listen to them without having to download them on your iPod, or you can download them by pressing the cloud icon. Do not worry about this
If you do not want them to show in your Muisc app (you can still redownload via iTunes>Purchased) just go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and turn off SHOW ALL.
