Q: How do I correct the phone number I used when I set up icloudkeychain?

I just set up iCloud Keychain. However when I press accept I realized at the last moment the last number of the phone number is incorrect. How do I fix this?

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

A:

Just go to "Settings > iCloud > Account > Keychain" here you can change your associated phone number. Please note that you should be able to receive SMS at the moment of changing your number in order to be able to verify your new number.

The keychain selection is unchecked. Checking it asks for a code which I have but it wants to send the sms message to an old number. Same thing happens on all my devices. What now?
