Q: How do I delete old versions that are taking up huge amounts of my storage in iBooks Author on Mavericks.

I have created a photobook in iBooks Author and I used to be able to delete the old versions that took up a huge amount of storage.  But with the upgrade to Mavericks I don't seem to be able to do it the same way (enter 'Revert to', 'Alt' click the triangle next to the file name and select delete all versions).  I have about 32GB being used up at the moment and would rather not have it that way.  Has anyone got any tips?

Have you tried dragging it/them to the trash?

Hi Vinnyvg.  There is no option in the 'time machine' screen that shows the old versions to drag to trash or delete manually.  If I press delete it asks if I want to delete pages so it's actively working on the old version as if it were live.  If I could find the location of the old versions manually in finder I would do that but they are elusive.

This is an old thread that helped me on Mountain Lion to delete old versions but the technique doesn't work on Mavericks. One error in my orignal text is that it is taking up 52GB of space and not 32GB.  So I really need to get this space back.

I don't use Time Machine so I unable to advise, I thought from your post that it was just on you computer.

The only suggestion I have is to contact tech support.

It is on my mac.  By 'Time machine' I meant that when you click on 'Revert too' it opens the screen that has your current book on the left and all the versions going back into histpry on the right.  Looks just like time machine but is just the versions on the mac.  With no options for deletion that I can find.  Screenshot below.
