How can I change my selection of what to transfer to the Mac after the transfer has started? The Mac says it will take 41 hours to finish the transfer

I just got a Macbook Pro, and am transferring the files from my PC to the Mac. The transfer just started, and the Mac says it has 41 hours remaining to finish the transfer.What should I do?

If you plan to transfer everything, I'd let it run or else you will end up redoing it several times which could take longer. Data transfer rate estimates are often overstated, especially when first started.
