Wonky video classification, movies vs. home videos

The last time I synched my iPad to my computer, I noticed that iTunes had split my video collection between two categories: movies and home videos. None of my videos are home videos. How do I get iTunes to place them all in the movie category? Since I have no home videos, I do not think to look there and am left unaware of what movies are installed on my iPad. Very confusing!
