Q: I CANT READ MY SERIAL NUMBER ON THE BACK OF MY IPOD AND IT WONT GO TO SETTINGS UNTIL I HAVE SET IT UP WITH ITUNES PLEASE HELP

im having a hiccup with my ipod i am trying to get it up and running but it wont work it wont even sync to the itunes on the computer and its my brothers computer i am worried that if i stuff this up im going to lose all his music can someone please help
