Will buying a MacBook Pro on 0% finance affect my credit score?

Hello there.

I'm a student at uni and I'm looking to buy a MacBook Pro retina 15" for my computer science degree.

I've seen apples 0% financing and this has really appealed to

Me because I wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise.

The MacBook is £1440, so it would be £144.40 a month for 10 months.

So my first question is:

1) I have £700 from my old computer sale, would I be able to pay the £700 upfront (leaving £740), and then pay £74 a month for 10 months?

2) when borrowing the money from Barclays, will this affect any decisions made in the future about loans such as a car loan or a mortgage on a house? So my question is really, after all the money is paid back in 10 months time, will it have future effects or when it's paid is it gone and finished with?

Thanks ever so much for taking your time to read my question and I look forward to hearing your response!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Paying off debt in a timely manner can only increase the likelihood that, further down the road, your credit score will increase.

But...

...getting approval from Barclays is no walk in the park. You'll have to have good, established credit if you wish to get Barclays financing. After I came out of a nursing home for almost 7 years, I had no credit and had to go about reestablishing my credit - it's 'good' now but far from being the 'great' that it once was simply because no credit is almost as bad as bad credit!

Good luck,

Clinton
